Fashion Victims Ep. 1.16

Layla heard Kurt storming through the front foyer, towards the living room. She ran from the kitchen, blocking his path.
"We need to talk." Layla spoke quickly, and braced herself. It looked like Kurt was about to run right into her.
"Not now." He stepped to the side and continued on his way.
"I know about you and Gio." She hoped he was listening.
He froze. She had him.
Slowly he turned. She started to wonder if blackmailing him was such a good idea. He was so angry he looked like he was about to tackle her.
"I... I saw you two at the office." She swallowed. "I'm not going to tell Barbi."
"But?" It suddenly looked as if all the life had been sucked out of his body. He slumped against the wall.
"I need you to help me." She walked towrads him slowly, keeping her tone soft. She didn't want to set him off again. "You have control of Dollhouse while Barbi is in jail, and it looks like she might be there for a while, and..."
"Get to the damn point." He looked up at her, his eyes wide. He was starting to get annoyed.
"Give me a little power. A few things here and there, and Barbi will never have to know." She spit out the last sentence quickly.
Kurt looked at her, and she waited for him to start screaming. Instead he smiled and laughed. She wasn't exactly expecting that.
"That's it?" He stood up straight and looked Layla dead in the eyes. "This is going to sound real sad, but this is the best thing that's happened to me today. That's sad, right?"
"Yeah, kind of." She gave him a weak smile. "I took a straight girl out on a date. I mean, it's not as bad, but..."
"You have yourself a deal Layla." He turned, continuing on his path to the living room. "Watch out for the straight ones. They'll break your heart."
She let out a loud sigh. That had gone better than she had expected. It definitly went better than her "date" with Annabelle. The girl spent the entire time talking about her ex-boyfriend back home. If it wasn't for the fact that the girl was gorgeous, Layla would have probably ran screaming from Grind.
Things were looking up, at least for her. Her sister was a different story, but now she didn't have to worry, because Layla would make sure Jade was kept in check.
