Fashion Victims Ep. 1.12

Kurt stormed out of the courtroom. He couldn't believe what he was hearing. The judge had actually denied Barbi bail. He could feel the rage building up inside.
Yes, he didn't love Barbi, at least not the way people thought, but he cared about her, and he cared about the company they both owned. Without her Dollhouse was in big trouble. He felt like he was about to scream. Then he saw the perfect target for his rage.
"Rick, you bastard." He grabbed his brother's arm, dragging him out of public view. "You're railroading my wife."
Rick pulled his arm free.
"Why?" He got in Kurt's face. "Why would I risk my career?"
Kurt couldn't help but laugh. Rick knew exactly why. He hated Barbi. He hated her from the day she stepped into Kurt's life, and saved him from the mediocrity that was the Hart family.
"You know she didn't do this. You know that." Spit flew from Kurt's lip as he spoke.
"No, I don't know that. She was there Kurt. She was in the office when Eve was murdered."
Kurt had seen the video, read the text. He knew all the evidence, but it still didn't add up. Barbi wouldn't do this. If not for moral reasons, which was something Barbi lacked, then for business reasons. Eve was bringing her nothing but money. Why would she bump off one of her top models? It didn't make any sense.
"Do you have prints? Proof? So she was there. It's her office." Kurt was stumbling as he spoke. Even he knew how stupid he sounded.
Rick just shook his head, and began to rub his temples. His face was beat red. Obviously Kurt wasn't the first person to go off on him today. The fashion world was probably ready to put a hit out on him.
"Listen, she's in custody, but that doesn't mean that the investigation is over. If she really didn't do it, then we'll find out who did." Obviously Rick was trying to calm his little brother down.
It wasn't working.
"Right. The Chicago cops will really go all out to make sure the right person is arrested." Kurt laughed. "She may be my wife big brother, but now you're the one screwing her."
Without another word Kurt pushed past Rick and headed back towards the swarm of paparazzi outside on State Street.
