So, I was in my local Fry's Electronics lately, and I was scanning through the international section, and I was pleased to find several spanish telenovelas on DVD. Do I speak spanish? Nope. The great thing is, these series come with English Subtitles. So, me being the curious shopper that I am, picked one up, just to check it out. I mean, why not? It's as much of a soap opera as anything in America, and the DVD set is cheap! I can get the entire series (edited slightly for time) for only fifteen dollars.
So, if you want a soapy treat, and you don't mind doing a little reading while watching, then check out your local video store or Amazon, and give telenovelas a try.
