Fashion Victims Ep. 1.3

Gio lay in bed, the covers barely covering his muscular, bare body. He could feel Kurt's arm resting on his chest, Kurt's breath on his neck.
They had spent the night together again. How many times had it been that month? That year? He had lost count.
"Don't you think she'll notice you're gone." He turned, his lips brushing Kurt's cheek.
"I don't think she cares. It's not like she doesn't have her men on the side." Kurt leaned in, his face inches from Gio's.
"Is that what I am? A man on the side?" Gio kissed him, then he stepped out of bed, pulling on a pair of jeans he had left strewn on the bedroom floor. He looked up, out the bedroom window at the cold, grey Chicago morning and realized that what he had right now, in his bed, was the best part of his day. From there on out it was all down hill. "I thought we had something more."
Gio couldn't help but laugh at how overly dramatic he sounded. His inner monologue had become a bad romance novel.
"How's your sister doing?" Kurt sat up, pulling the blanket up to his chest. "You don't talk about her much anymore."
Gio's twin sister, Mia, had been in the hospital for the past week. The radiation and chemo had done a real number on her, and the doctors had wanted to keep a close eye on her. It killed him to have her so far away. He had been there when the doctor had broken the news, and he had helped her through the initial stages of treatment. Now, he was helpless. He hated that feeling.
"You're so quiet. I'm sorry." Kurt reached out, waiting for Gio to take his hand.
"It's not you." He smiled, crawling across the bed, pulling Kurt close to him.
Their affair had started as a drunken fling, and developed into something else. Gio would never tell Kurt that he had fallen in love, but he couldn't deny that he wanted nothing more than to spend the rest of his life just like this, completely wrapped up in each other.
Kurt's cellphone started chirping. Both of them glanced over and could see Barbi's name illuminated on the small screen.
"Get it. I'll make breakfast."
Gio wasn't even out of the room when Kurt jumped out of the bed and started grabbing his clothes. "We have to get to the office." Kurt brushed past Gio. "Now."
"What's the matter?" Gio didn't know how to react in the sudden chaos that had errupted.
"I'll fill you in on the way." Kurt threw a shirt at Gio, and darted into the kitchen. "Where are my shoes?"
